Lisa and Richard’s beautiful wedding took place at the historic Washington Grass Inn located in Greensboro, Georgia. Nestled upon 14 acres of lush Georgia countryside, the restored 19th century Plantation House and covered outdoor space provided the perfect setting for this couple’s romantic late-summer wedding.
Our favorite details of their big day? First, everyone in the wedding party was dressed to perfection! The bride stole the show with a jaw-droppingly long and dramatic wedding veil. (It had to have been at least 12 feet in length…we were in awe!) The bridesmaids dresses were almost as gorgeous– navy empire-waisted cocktail dresses with delicate, scalloped lace detailing. The groomsmen also looked quite sharp (and seasonally appropriate) in light tan tuxedos and navy ties.
Second, we were obsessed with the detail put into this wedding. The couple successfully pulled together a color palette of bold midnight blue, soft peach, ivory and tans. From the pretty, pretty color-coordinated stationery to the beautifully decorated reception tables boasting gorgeous ivory and peach floral arrangements and place settings with vibrant blue napkins– everything came together incredibly!
The bride and groom chose the classic white folding chairs to compliment all the light and bright rustic ceremony details. Guests were greeted with a pair of antique ivory-painted doors adorned with large moss-covered letters (representing the couple’s initials) at the entrance of the ceremony. A restored farmhouse mantle, covered in candles, cascading greenery, and floral arrangements of soft peach and ivory, was used as the ceremony backdrop. To give the reception a rustic and refined look, the couple opted for a mix of farm tables and round tables, paired with our elegant crossback vineyard chairs. A large tent and dance floor were added to the end of the venue’s existing covered structure and cafe string lights were added throughout the reception space to set the mood of the party!
